Sensex ends 230 points higher, Nifty above 8,150

The domestic stock market on Thursday staged a smart and beautiful rebound, a three-day losing streak on positive trends seen in other Asian and European markets. BSE Sensex edged 230 points, or 0.86 percent, higher to close at 27,010. The 50-stock Nifty50 ended the day 72 points, or 0.88 percent, higher at 8,179.

• Adani Enterprises gained over 15 per cent in intraday trade. 

• Polaris Consulting surged over 6 per cent in intraday trade. 

• IVRCL was up 14 per cent in intraday trade. 

• Zee Entertainment climbed over 8 per cent in intraday trade.
