Sensex ends in the red, Nifty holds in Today Market News

Today Market News Update 
Nifty tumbling mid-day but managed to recover and defend the 8250 mark. The 50-share index fell 9.95 points at 8251.70. The Sensex ended down 19.17 points at 27287.66. About 1327 shares advanced, 1382 shares declined and 155 shares were unchanged.

• Shree Renuka Sugars surged over 6 percent in intraday trade. 

• Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar gained over 9 percent in intraday trade. 

•  MphasiS climbed over 13 percent in intraday trade. 

• Sanofi was up about 5 percent in intraday trade. 

• Federal Bank slipped over 15 percent in intraday trade. 

• SREI Infra was down about 4 percent in intraday trade. 

• Castex Technologies surged about 5 percent in intraday trade.

• Essar Ports was down over 5 percent in intraday trade.
